CONSTRUCTION

Nick is experienced in all phases of construction, particularly construction management, the development of large-scale projects, and residential home building. In 1992, Nick and his father started Nickelson Custom Construction and worked primarily as a residential remodeling and home-building company in San Diego, California. Over the course of the years, the business grew into a thriving company, focusing on custom design and construction.

Starting their “journey” together on the West Coast combined with 20+ years of skill and expertise, the Nickelson’s journey would soon lead them in another direction. Their initial plan was to build a vacation home in Nick’s hometown, however, once they arrived, that all would change. Nick was greeted with the memories of the sweet south he had come to know as a young boy.

A vision of old brick buildings lined up and down the streets, historic homes, many in much needed repair, were now the inspiration for Southern Dream Homes and a spark was lit. Southern Dream Homes was created with a special emphasis in focusing its design towards, building, and developing Southern-style homes for Southern-style living bringing beauty and “the dream” to those who seek it throughout South Carolina.
